So apparently tons of people have their chonies in a wad over some new Sony game called “Fat Princess”.
Here’s a description from Sony’s website:
“Frantic and fun, Fat Princess pits two hordes of players against each other in comic medieval battle royale. Your goal is to rescue your beloved princess from the enemy dungeon. There’s a catch though: your adversary has been stuffing her with food to fatten her up and it’s going to take most of your army working together to carry her back across the battlefield.”
And a lovely screenshot:
Sure, people are all upset over the way fat people are portrayed and it could help preserve the myth about a portly princess needing rescue from her sloth and slovenliness, but let’s consider a few points:
A. The princess is presumably being “force fed” by her captors. It’s not like they said she sat on her ample ass sucking Twinkie filling off her chubby little fingers and and watching Jerry Springer from her place in the dungeon.
B. Feminist gamers getting all revved up over this just perpetuates the myth of the angry female who can’t take a joke. Especially a fat joke.
C. You have a better chance of mid-air motaring the enemy flag capper in Tribes than you do convincing me that Fat Princess is something to be legitimately concerned about. (Oh yeah, I just said that..)

If you’re really interested in what the feminists have to say, i’d suggest going here instead: http://www.feministing.com/archives/009966.html And yes, they have absolutely no sense of humor, at all.
[...] it’s ok to be all butt hurt about a fat princess video game, right? If you’re healthy and in shape, though, you might alienate voters? Huh? [...]
